All packed… and ready to go

Brisbane, Australia

Wow! We can’t believe that it has been 3 months since we arrived home! During the past three months, we have been busy catching up with appointments – doctor, dentist, physio… the list seemed endless, but that is now all up to date. Our medications have been restocked and our bags are full of clean clothes, Australian titbits that we just can’t do without, a few essential items for the car, and so now we’re just waiting for this afternoon to roll around.

Tonight, at 9pm, we board a flight for the UK, via Dubai and thence onwards!

What do we have planned? Well, we had planned on doing Anzac Day (25 April for the non-Australian readers) in Ypres (that’s in Belgium), but as we are retired and no longer have to think about public holidays – we forgot all about Easter! So, instead, we will spend a couple of weeks in the UK, including Anzac Day celebrations in London, then off to Amsterdam, so that we can celebrate our first Koningsdag (26 April) in the Netherlands!

When we pick up our car from Groningen, we have to repack, restock and replace a few things. Yes, that cold European winter has probably been too much for the auxiliary battery. so that will be replaced. We will be picking up a made-to-measure bicycle cover so that we can try to keep our bikes cleaner. Once everything is done and we’re ready to go, it will be full steam ahead for Scandinavia.

So we look forward to sharing our ongoing travels and adventures with our friends and regular readers.
